My Summer Bucket List

Image
Hey there folks, me again! Guess what you guys, I just got an update from my folks. The condo just got sold, and in two weeks, I’m finally back in Lawrence! So to kick things off, here’s my summer bucket list of things to do. 1. Pineapple Dream I wanna go to Topeka with Stephanie and try out an ice cream shop called Pineapple Dream. It’s in 6750 SW 29th St., and it’s got Dole Whip just like the ones they have in Disney World. It also has a selection of floats and smoothies of any flavor to pick out. I gotta say that this will be one of my picks on the list. This is what Dole whip in an ice cream cone looks like. If you’ve seen enough like Sylas & Maddy’s and Cold Stone, then consider this my next summer treat. I hope this one cools you off. 2. Fugitive Beach The fun never stops in the coolest water park in Missouri. So I think it’ll be a great place to check out for the summer. If I’m not mistaken about this place, it’s just like the beach in California or in Hawaii. There’s ...

Cinco de Mayo!

Image
Do you think that maybe it's probably time to celebrate Cinco de Mayo in Lawrence Kansas this time around? The answer is a big YES! If so, here's the scoop on that. Cinco de Mayo is just around the corner in the month of May. And when the time comes, it's time to celebrate. So let's review some ideas of what we can do that this special day. Here's what we might be thinking when I finally come back. Idea #1:  Plan a special Cinco de Mayo themed block party in downtown Lawrence. If I can think of a location to get the party going in Cinco de Mayo, it would probably be somewhere here at... 804 New Hampshire St. right next to Cieliti Lindo where it's temporarily closed. It was where my dad used to perform music there back in the day. And this is where I can finally get it all set up. And to do that, we need someone who can help me out on this. We need the music set up, a variety of foods and drinks such as tacos nachos, taquitos, quesadillas, and enchiladas, and t...

The Renaissance Festival

Image
You’ll never guess what I did for the very first time. I officially went to the Kansas City Renaissance Festival in Bonner Springs. The first time I went there was when I was with friends Eric and Jill Fitzmorris. We all went there and we explored the whole thing. Eric enjoyed the turkey legs and I got to do a video all about it. I got to take my bird puppet with me, I named him Alonzo one time. And my puppet and I did a movie about the Renaissance Festival in Bonner Springs and everybody loved it. Even Eric and Jill loved it and was a fun time to enjoy it. Anyway I saw everything in this festival. There’s exciting shows, challenging games and activities, a petting zoo, and so much more. I even saw the joust! It was incredible, folks. And I gotta tell you right now about this one, the Renaissance festival is just one of my favorite places to go in Kansas City. And it’s really fun! When I plan on going back there again, I’m thinking about doing a fun video about just like I did th...

Worlds & Oceans of Fun

Image
Okay folks, here's something that I'd thought you'll remember. It was the first time that I remember going to when I was a kid, this time here in Kansas City. The first time I went to Worlds of Fun as a world of...well, fun! My family and I went there the first time went we were going somewhere during a mini-vacation. It a family friendly park here in Kansas City that I first went to. Remember that?!  I'll never forget that first time there. I went on those rollercoaster rides, and enjoyed the Sea Dragon, rode the Spinning Dragons, all that stuff! We even checked out Cyclone Sam's ride, it really made me dizzy! The special effects and the lights flashing! Yikes! We even got to see Charlie Brown and the Peanuts Gang in person while we were strolling around the park. I even went on the slide for that one. One of the rollercoasters I tried was the Timber Wolf. And when it went down really fast, I held my breath as I screamed! I went on with my dad though. The funnies...

The Lied Center

Image
And now, for tonight’s special presentation…at The Lied Center! If you haven’t been to the Lied Center for a show yet, then let’s listen in. This coming year, 2025 is packed with plenty of live shows and performances here at the Lied Center of KU. If I could pick a show to see here, I would choose Fraggle Rock. Like this one that on January 2025 next year. Ever since I watched the show on video, I was this little as a kid. My dad said to me yesterday that I’m sure that I can get the chance to see Fraggle Rock on stage next year when I’m in Lawrence. True that. Anyway to continue, I’m gonna be planning seeing a performance show in the upcoming summer or the fall season. Whichever one I choose. I’m not what’s going right now, but I’ll keep myself updated on what’s playing here at the Lied Center. If I could look for a show to watch at the KU Lied Center, I’d go see Lyle Lovett perform for example. You know just to be sure. If you have any ideas to come up with for a show, let me kn...
