Worlds & Oceans of Fun

Image
Okay folks, here's something that I'd thought you'll remember. It was the first time that I remember going to when I was a kid, this time here in Kansas City. The first time I went to Worlds of Fun as a world of...well, fun! My family and I went there the first time went we were going somewhere during a mini-vacation. It a family friendly park here in Kansas City that I first went to. Remember that?!  I'll never forget that first time there. I went on those rollercoaster rides, and enjoyed the Sea Dragon, rode the Spinning Dragons, all that stuff! We even checked out Cyclone Sam's ride, it really made me dizzy! The special effects and the lights flashing! Yikes! We even got to see Charlie Brown and the Peanuts Gang in person while we were strolling around the park. I even went on the slide for that one. One of the rollercoasters I tried was the Timber Wolf. And when it went down really fast, I held my breath as I screamed! I went on with my dad though. The funnies...

My Next Tribute to Chandra Freeman

Welcome back to my monthly blog. Today I wanna start my next tribute to another friend of mine who I first met in Cordley during my school year. That next tribute to someone is Chandra Freeman. Ever since I first met her as a para in Cordley, I realized how cute I am when I was a kid. Back then, I remember all of those times I spent together with her and Jason at their house. I know she helped me out by practicing my singing of the Star-Spangled Banner for the school’s talent show for my music class. And just like that, I was really good at that. She even helped me out with my math problems, reading, and other things I learned from school. When she and I were in the car together, we would go to plenty of adventures. During that time, we listened to songs on the radio. Like this song I’ve once heard about when we were getting some dinner at McDonald’s. The song I first heard was “3AM” by Matchbox Twenty. I can tell you right now that this song is the top of the chart on the radio ...

My Friend, Stephanie

This is my next story about another friend I know in Lawrence. Stephanie Harsin I’ll never forget the time I’ve finally met Stephanie Harsin as a teacher in Cordley Elementary School. It was the first time I’ve seen her since the 4th grade, and I think that she’s one of my friends that I’ll always know and love. I remember the summer seasons she and I spent together from 2001 to 2006. We’d hang out together in the car listening to the top 40 music on the radio, college music on KJHK, alternative rock on 96.5 The Buzz, hip hop music on Wild 92.9, and many others. We’ve also did a little reading together during the summer reading program from the Lawrence Public Library too. Good thing I received some prizes in the end. During the summer season, Stephanie helped me out on some tutoring including mathematics, English, science and much more. We even watched the hip-hop multiplication video on VHS. It really helped me out on my multiplication skills. I really loved the background effe...
