An Ode To My Favorite Teacher, Lois Orth-Lopes

Image
Hello and welcome back to my monthly blog. Today we’re talk about the people that I once met and know ever since I first moved to Kansas to live in Lawrence. My teacher Lois Orth-Lopes. I’ve met her for the first time ever since I’ve first gone to Cordley Elementary School, and I bet she was really happy to meet me. And I’m really proud that she’s one of my favorite teachers in Kansas. It was the start of my first school year starting with kindergarten. We first got together learned a lot of things. See back in the day when she and I met, we played around, learned my ABCs and how to count, made some art projects, watch Disney movies, all that stuff. When Lois and I were at the computer lab using the computer to try new things, we looked at Thinkin Things. I remember playing with Thinkin Things long time ago, I really liked the flying spheres and the flying shapes that make funny sounds. The best part of it is that I record sounds with those shapes in less than three seconds. It w...

We interrupt this program to bring you a special Bonus Blog Hey there boys and girls! Please put your hands together for...The Majestics Rhythm Revue! [imitating crowd cheering noise] I have called you here today for an imortant announcement to make. I'd thought maybe it would be a really really really really, REALLY great idea to come up with an idea on a music video for the song 'Sweat Like James Brown' by The Majestics Rhythm Revue. You've heard their music off of their first album Digga! Digga!, and now the time has come to talk about it. We're gonna take to the streets of downtown Lawrence and do a lot of filming here. What we need is a video camera for the footage, the song on my iPad, and someone to star in my next music video idea. Here’s who I’m gonna audition to star. Since I’m the director for this idea. Thom Alexander (My dad) Lois Orth-Lopes Sebastian Alfie The good folks from Americana Music Academy Kurt Henning & Elizabeth Tally Eric & Jill ...

My First House Party

Image
Hey everybody, you’ll never guess what I just remembered from that time when I lived in Lawrence. At the Learnard house where my family and I lived there, I had an idea of throwing my first dance party here in Lawrence and my mom and dad agreed with me on that. This time, I made it into a Nickelodeon theme. The first thing I did before this happened is to invite my friends from school and my neighbors. When I handed out my invitations to my friends, they agreed on that for the very first time. I even invited my friend Katie Altenbern to join us for my first dance party. I picked the songs from the artists I love listening to. It was in the year 2000 when I held my first dance party at my house. It was awesome, and everyone was invited there. Mrs. Orth-Lopes was there, even Stephanie was there, Sebastian, Ms. Kitchen, and everyone else was there too. Even my friends from Cordley were also there. We had a really fun time, except for the fact that the power went out. It was really w...

Now the question to that one is "How does it work?" Well, let's review. First off, I’m gonna start off by getting everyone together from Lawrence Kansas here at ‘The Lawrence Kansas Club’ on Facebook and help them plan ahead for the party.
