Places To Visit When I'm Back In Kansas: Part 2 (…And Other Things To Do)

Image
Hello again, and welcome back to my monthly blog. Last time, I wrote to you about the new places I wanna try in Topeka like The Pennant and Round Table Bookstore. Now here's part two of my blog entry on places to visiting when I'm back in Kansas. Let's get started. The Wheel Barrel  This is the kind of place I wanna try out in Topeka, it's at 925 N. Kansas Ave. But the question is, "Where to begin?". Well if you like Burgers and wings at Jefferson's and Johnny's Tavern, then we should try out The Wheel Barrel. And trust me, it's really fun. It's  a hidden gem nestled in the heart of Topeka, Kansas. And t his rustic haven promises more than just a meal, it's an experience. So just picture  yourself sinking into a plush seat, savoring the warmth of a gourmet grilled cheese sandwich that transcends the ordinary. And it's  home to an award-winning selection of gourmet grilled cheese creations, as well as rotational craft beer options and ...

My Spring Bucket List

Image
Hi there, folks. Me again. We’ve got a lot of work to do. So today I think it’s time for me to study my Spring bucket list. What is a bucket list, you may ask? Well, it’s a personal list of experiences, goals, and achievements a person hopes to accomplish. Okay, without further ado, here goes. (Now, where to begin…) 1. Taking outdoor walks The Ted Ensley gardens at Shawnee County, Kansas. According to the Shawnee County Parks and Recreation’s website, it says here that it’s a 37.5-acre garden in the west side of scenic Lake Shawnee. Now while I’m back in Kansas, I’m gonna be taking a walk down Lilac Lane in KU for an hour or two, even when it’s beautiful outside. Maybe I can even do that while I’m listening to my favorite music. Perhaps maybe a perfect walking playlist would be nice. And after that,...

And now, for tonight’s special presentation…at The Lied Center! If you haven’t been to the Lied Center for a show yet, then let’s listen in. This coming year, 2025 is packed with plenty of live shows and performances here at the Lied Center of KU. If I could pick a show to see here, I would choose Fraggle Rock. Like this one that on January 2025 next year. Ever since I watched the show on video, I was this little as a kid. My dad said to me yesterday that I’m sure that I can get the chance to see Fraggle Rock on stage next year when I’m in Lawrence. True that. Anyway to continue, I’m gonna be planning seeing a performance show in the upcoming summer or the fall season. Whichever one I choose. I’m not what’s going right now, but I’ll keep myself updated on what’s playing here at the Lied Center. If I could look for a show to watch at the KU Lied Center, I’d go see Lyle Lovett perform for example. You know just to be sure. If you have any ideas to come up with for a show, let me kn...
