I'm Finally On My Way

Image
Well my friends, this is it! The time has come and the delay is finally over. I sent some special thank you cards to everyone in Bluffton, spent my fewer days here, plenty of days of waiting, and of course a lot of packing, the house is finally sold. And now it's time to start my chapter back here in Lawrence Kansas and relive my past childhood days and live my life once again. Also, I wanna thank you all for supporting me here at the Lawrence Kansas Monthly Blog and keeping in touch with me since my two vacations there. You made me happy after all these years. You know something, ever since I've thought of moving back to Lawrence, my dad and I talked about it since my visitations there. And I've always remembered those good time I've spent there these three decades there and made friends there. This is what I'm been waiting for my whole entire time since I dreamt of doing. So here's what playlists I made on my iPad for the time being: Best Buddies: The Playli...

My Next Tribute to Chandra Freeman

Image
Welcome back to my monthly blog. Today I wanna start my next tribute to another friend of mine who I first met in Cordley during my school year. That next tribute to someone is Chandra Freeman. Ever since I first met her as a para in Cordley, I realized how cute I am when I was a kid. Back then, I remember all of those times I spent together with her and Jason at their house. I know she helped me out by practicing my singing of the Star-Spangled Banner for the school’s talent show for my music class. And just like that, I was really good at that. She even helped me out with my math problems, reading, and other things I learned from school. When she and I were in the car together, we would go to plenty of adventures. During that time, we listened to songs on the radio. Like this song I’ve once heard about when we were getting some dinner at McDonald’s. The song I first heard was “3AM” by Matchbox Twenty. I can tell you right now that this song is the top of the chart on the radio ...

An Ode To Sebastian Alfie

Image
This is another story I wanna share with you folks. This is my ode to my music teacher Sebastian Alfie. When I first met him at Cordley Elementary School, I first played the Casio musical keyboard when I was in the 1st or 2nd Grade. It was the first time I’ve ever  used the musical keyboard like the Casio. I really like it when I hear the drum set sounds, the funny sound effects, the electronic synthesizer sounds, and the chords along with the beats playing. That sounded totally audiophile-like! I’ll never forget the time Sebastian and I recorded music for a homemade movie I made about a missing clipboard with Matthew Rogers. I feel like the music I make is a lot more experimental in my spare time, followed by at least in a professional way if you’d ask me. But at least it sounded really good. The way I make movie scores of my own on cassette tape makes me think about how avant-garde the sounds and notes feel like when I'm recording all this stuff on audio. During the summer...

The Music I Love Listening to In Lawrence

Image
Instruments ready? I hope so, cause we've got a lot to talk about today. We’re gonna talk about one of my favorite topics I enjoy the most in my spare time. Music. Okay, let’s start with the musical artists I first listening to when I was a little kid. Let’s start off with one of my personal childhood favorites from the past. Joanie Bartels Since the first time I listened to her songs, it was ‘Traveling Magic’. And the first song I remember listening to was ‘On The Road To Where We’re Going’. It was when my mom and I were in the car driving along California together. It was a pretty catchy tune to hear in the first place. But the other songs I remember listening to ‘Beep Beep’, ‘On The Road Again’, and ‘Surrey With a Fringe On The Top’. It was fun listening to that tape in the car. When bedtime comes, I remember this cassette tape that I listened to while I was sleeping in my bed. That tape was ‘Lullaby Magic’.I had two of them to be honest with you on that one. The first ‘Lullab...
