Thank you all so much for voting in this special blog celebrating its 100th entry. Anyway, let's get down with an update of what's been going on. On May 24th, my dad and I went to that condo in Plantation Point where 2412 is located, and we got rid of the old stuff. The sideboard, the old computer desk, and those two black metal shelves, then we took them over to the Beaufort County dump here in Bluffton. So I think after a few big moments in Bluffton, I'll be back in Lawrence Kansas.
Okay. Now that we're getting things organized here, I wanna remind you that there's a new vacation video I made on YouTube, and I think that you are gonna love it. The video is right there.
Now here's what happening real soon. This Saturday, my dad and I are gonna move the futon and put in storage courtesy of moving to Lawrence Kansas. And you might wanna stick around cause there might be more to do when I help my dad before the time comes. I hope that I'm gonna move back to Lawrence sooner or later.
Now I wanna once again say thanks to everyone who helped me out on my suggestions for my monthly blog. And I would like to take the time to talk about the things I wrote about. So let's start with my top five blogs I wrote about.
1. Based on my suggestions from my friend Stephanie, I wrote about the places I wanna visit in Topeka and Kansas City when I'm back to live in Lawrence again. I once wrote about trying out a place called The Pennant in Topeka becuase this is one of the new places I wanna check out here when I'm hanging out with Stephanie and David. Why? Because I love playing video games and I'm a pro at bowling. Also when we compare both Johnny Tavern's and Jefferson's here in Lawrence and Topeka, we'll notice the difference and maybe we can enjoy it for years to come.
2. I wrote about the things I wanna consider doing on my spring bucket list. For instance, I chose hanging out with my friends including Stephanie Harsin. Even hanging out with my favorites that I know ever since I grew up there. I also wrote about Art Tongeau during Mayday and closer to the Busker Festival in downtown Lawrence. And you know something, I'd really like to see what they really look like when I see them on parade. Pretty soon on my next blog entry, I'll be writing about what I'll be doing in Lawrence as part of my summer bucket list.
3. I wrote a lot about how I first joined Best Buddies here in KU. It was a great time to be here as always. Like this one time I first met my first 'best buddy' during my school year. I really love Best Buddies and I do hope that I'll get to join again really soon. I'll tell you why, because Best Buddies will always be my favorite topic and one of my favorite things to do here in Lawrence Kansas.
4. I remember writing about my favorite things I love doing here in Lawrence. The things I love doing such as Bloomington Beach, walking around town, sidewalk sales, fun at the outdoor pool during summer seasons, and many other things. You know what I also really love to do? Ride my bike around Lawrence for a plenty of times, just like from back in the day. That's really fun too. I wonder what's next.
5. I even wrote about a lot of things to plan about when I finally have my new condo, like a list of things for my living room, the kitchen, the bedroom, the bathroom, everything. I've also been writing about the more space I need for my next condo when I'm finally back in Lawrence. And who knows what we might think of next. Now keep this in mind to remember that I want a condo in Lawrence on the ground floor, not the top floor. It's very important for me to have when I'm on my own again. If you'd like to help me out with some new stuff, let me know. Oh, and did I forget to tell you that I also wrote about planning a ‘Welcome Back’ party here at South Park. I’ve been thinking of doing this for a long time when I’m back.
So anyway, I’ve been thinking about coming back to Lawrence ever since I started my blog during my vacation. And I have a feeling that I’m getting really close. So I have a couple things for me to do before the time comes for me to move back there.
I’m even gonna come up with some upcoming ideas and new plans for trips, events, summer breaks, and so much more. When I finally returned to Lawrence, I’ll get back to doing the things I remember doing, and try new things too. Such as maybe some vacation ideas for traveling, new places to go in Lawrence Kansas, Kansas City, others. And maybe some special events for summer like summertime cookouts, block parties, many other stuff. Plus, maybe some special events for KU Best Buddies. I wonder what KU Best Buddies will surprise me with next.
(We'll see what happens.)
Also, Kurt's willing to help me out on some video related footage for a show they'll be doing in Lawrence or maybe a special event to be filmed at the Lied Center or anywhere here. It's gonna be a great time for me to help him out on something. I'll see what he's has for me in store for a special project for my. Dad said I might get a job with Kurt someday, and who knows, maybe I'll see what I'll come up with.
If you're willing to think of some new ideas for my next chapter back in Lawrence Kansas, feel free to let me know on Facebook and on the comments below.
Well, that's it for this special time! I hope that you enjoyed my 100th entry in this monthly blog. And once again, thank you for voting on the favorites nominee list. This has been a great time to celebrate my 100th entry in my monthly blog. Oh and if you love my latest blog entry, let me know on some new ideas for my next story. In the meantime, I’ll be back soon when the condo gets sold.
Enjoy the rest of your day, thank you all so much for being there for me and I’ll see you next time on the Lawrence Kansas Blog.
There comes a time in my life when I finally graduated from high school and got to do C-Tran for the next two years. Before that, I got to meet Sally Martin when I got a part-time job at Westlake Hardward. It was exhausting and a little stressful, but at least I had a lot of fun with it though. And Sally was really happy to see me and it was really nice to meet her too. My favorite part of my job here at Westlake was when I got to water plants on spring and summer seasons, it was fun. Okay? Although sometimes I get stressed out with her, she and I can always take a joke and laugh it out with her. You know something, Sally is such a nice gal with her country music she likes listening to. One time I heard a Dixie Chicks song “Not Ready To Make Nice” once, it was on ringtone on her phone and it was really upbeat in a country pop way. Nice! The first time I met her was when I first worked at Westlake and it was during the summer season. Thank you Sally for helping me out on my job an...
Hello and welcome back to my monthly blog. Today we’re talk about the people that I once met and know ever since I first moved to Kansas to live in Lawrence. My teacher Lois Orth-Lopes. I’ve met her for the first time ever since I’ve first gone to Cordley Elementary School, and I bet she was really happy to meet me. And I’m really proud that she’s one of my favorite teachers in Kansas. It was the start of my first school year starting with kindergarten. We first got together learned a lot of things. See back in the day when she and I met, we played around, learned my ABCs and how to count, made some art projects, watch Disney movies, all that stuff. When Lois and I were at the computer lab using the computer to try new things, we looked at Thinkin Things. I remember playing with Thinkin Things long time ago, I really liked the flying spheres and the flying shapes that make funny sounds. The best part of it is that I record sounds with those shapes in less than three seconds. It w...
Welcome back to my monthly blog, and today I'd like to share with you folks in this story. I would like to share a special to two friends that I once knew when I was a kid. Let's start off first with my friend Jennifer Unruh. Ever since I met her for the first time at Cordley, she and I would do something fun and exciting together. We would watch funny movies, claymation flicks, listen to music, and even learn new stuff every day. I remember the time when she and I first listened to 'Priscilla: Queen of the Desert' as the soundtrack. The disco music and pop ballads were way groovy since the 70s. We also listened to Marlo Thomas's entertainment project of 'Free To Be... You and Me' on cassette tape. It had songs and stories, spoken word poetry, and music of friendship and family. I really loved the part in 'Boy Meets Girl', it was really funny to hear Mel Brooks and Marlo Thomas together. The part I really like was quote, "Right? Wrong! Exactl...
