My Summer Bucket List

Image
Hey there folks, me again! Guess what you guys, I just got an update from my folks. The condo just got sold, and in two weeks, I’m finally back in Lawrence! So to kick things off, here’s my summer bucket list of things to do. 1. Pineapple Dream I wanna go to Topeka with Stephanie and try out an ice cream shop called Pineapple Dream. It’s in 6750 SW 29th St., and it’s got Dole Whip just like the ones they have in Disney World. It also has a selection of floats and smoothies of any flavor to pick out. I gotta say that this will be one of my picks on the list. This is what Dole whip in an ice cream cone looks like. If you’ve seen enough like Sylas & Maddy’s and Cold Stone, then consider this my next summer treat. I hope this one cools you off. 2. Fugitive Beach The fun never stops in the coolest water park in Missouri. So I think it’ll be a great place to check out for the summer. If I’m not mistaken about this place, it’s just like the beach in California or in Hawaii. There’s ...

The Beach, A Walk Downtown, The Pool, And Other Things

The following blog entry suggestion came from my friend Stephanie Harsin. So today would be a great time for me to talk about the things I love doing in Lawrence. Okay, here’s the first thing that I wanna talk is the place I enjoy going to in my childhood days. Bloomington Beach I remember back in the day when my family and I got to go swimming at Bloomington Beach right here at Clinton Lake. We got together, got in the water to cool off, and enjoyed a great time there. It was really fun to enjoy in the state of Kansas every Summer. On our way, we sometimes stop at The Clinton Store and I grab myself some ice cream or something to drink. That was before we arrive at the beach. Duh! When I come back to Lawrence once again, I might be able to invite my friends like Stephanie Harsin and David Ade to the beach and enjoy a fine day there. And who knows, maybe we can even have a fine picnic there too. Other days I can also bring Eric and Jill along with the girls and Ridley and take th...

A December to Remember

Image
A December to Remember I’ll never forget my first Christmas with my family in Lawrence from back in the day. It was at the Flintstones house at 826 Arkansas Street. We got together and spent some time with each other, and we got to open presents on Christmas Day. On the road to Christmas inside the house, I got to watch Christmas specials on TV, watched holiday movies, all that stuff. For me, I watched many Disney Christmas vids. I’ll always remember watching ‘Very Merry Christmas’ and ‘Twelve Days of Christmas’ on both Disney Sing Along Songs, plus I watched a special Disney holiday classic titled ‘Jiminy Cricket’s Christmas’. It was a nostalgic feeling for the holiday season. My family and I watched another Christmas movie called ‘The Nightmare Before Christmas’ by Tim Burton. Jack Skellington was wonderful! When I was young, I got together with my family and went sledding on the hill at KU. I really loved it much! I’ll always remember my first time I sled down the hill. It was...
