My Summer Bucket List

Hey there folks, me again! Guess what you guys, I just got an update from my folks. The condo just got sold, and in two weeks, I’m finally back in Lawrence!

So to kick things off, here’s my summer bucket list of things to do.

1. Pineapple Dream

I wanna go to Topeka with Stephanie and try out an ice cream shop called Pineapple Dream. It’s in 6750 SW 29th St., and it’s got Dole Whip just like the ones they have in Disney World. It also has a selection of floats and smoothies of any flavor to pick out. I gotta say that this will be one of my picks on the list.

This is what Dole whip in an ice cream cone looks like.

If you’ve seen enough like Sylas & Maddy’s and Cold Stone, then consider this my next summer treat. I hope this one cools you off.

2. Fugitive Beach

The fun never stops in the coolest water park in Missouri. So I think it’ll be a great place to check out for the summer. If I’m not mistaken about this place, it’s just like the beach in California or in Hawaii. There’s a lot of fun to be driven here, and I wonder what it’s like when I give this waterpark a try.

3. Plenty of Swimming

For decades, I've been going for a swim here at the outdoor aquatics center and at the indoor pool at Free State High School. Even I was the one planning on going to the lake or the beach in Bloomington. And as always, I'm gonna keep on doing that every summer season. And who knows, maybe if I'm lucky I'll plan a special pool party at the outdoor pool or anywhere in Kansas. Maybe I can DJ too, and better yet play my favorite music. Duh! Maybe I can arrange that on my list also. Also spoiler alert, I still need to get myself an all-summer pass though. Deal!

4. Vacations

This is why I never stop planning on taking vacations with my family or friends. And this time, I'll always do whatever I can to save as much as I can for when I can go someplace. Planning vacations will be better than ever. In fact, maybe I can think of a vacation with me and Stephanie. It's a possibility, but I can think about that. If you remember me watching 'A Rugrats Vacation' on VHS, then you might know a lot about that topic too. Which really reminds me saying this, I wonder where else I can go next... You decide.

5. Special Best Buddies Events For Summer Seasons

I know what you might be thinking. What else are you planning on doing this summer? Well if you like joining Best Buddies every midseason fall through spring, then get this! How would you feel about Best Buddies Summer Events. If you like that idea that would be added to the Best Buddies schedule, let me know on the next match party and we'll figure things out. Pretty cool, huh? Hey, if you’re willing to plan a trip to Fugitive Beach at Rollo Missouri, notify me on that cause I would like to cool off real soon. Weekend plans also available.

6. Water Parks

We all know about the waterparks I love going to ever since I was young. I remember the first time I went to Oceans of Fun, and it was a blast. Maybe someday I'll get to come back there once again and enjoy cooling off at the wave pool. It's also just like the time I went to Disney World on vacation. I wonder if I could plan on going to Disney World once again when the time comes.

7. Summertime Cookouts

If you're thinking of planning a summertime cookout for you and your friends, now would be a great time to do it. So I've been thinking maybe ever summer season or at least for special times, I'll come up with an idea to set this up, including friends to invite. (RSVP included) And who knows, maybe also we can do a summertime cookout party somewhere here in Kansas City or at Oceans of Fun. Heck, we can even make it into a pool party cookout! I'll bet you can rely on that too.

8. Special Summer Movie Showings

Whenever I'm in for a movie in the summer, there's always Hollywood Theaters. I remember that time when I got to see a classic movie showing here at 2108 W 27th St. where there used to be a movie theater there in the year 2001. It was actually fun. Now I might be able to plan on seeing a special movie showing here at Hollywood Theaters every summer. If so, let me know what's up.

9. Boat Tours

If you haven’t heard of boat tours in Lawrence or Kansas City, you’re in luck. We should also plan for a special boat tour around Clinton Lake and Lake Perry. If you haven’t been to Lake Perry, consider yourself lucky for that one. So if you’d like to, let me know on that one also. In Kansas City, there’s also a few options for boat tours, including gondola rides and cruises on the Missouri River. It’ll be fun, especially when you invite your friends. For example, take the Jayhawk Marina. If that’s the right choice or whatnot, do so. What do you think about that?

If you think I'm almost done, there's plenty to talk about. So if you like my blog on my summer bucket list, feel free to let me know on some ideas on Facebook so I can talk to you guys about it for sure. In fact, now that I'm almost ready to move back to Lawrence Kansas, this is how I pictured it. My new condo is right there.

255 N. Michigan # 78, Lawrence Kansas

And here's my quick update, I finally invited my friends that I know when I grew up here in Lawrence to my official 'Welcome Back' party here at South Park in downtown Lawrence. So if by any chance you have any song requests I can come up with while I'm DJing for the party, let me know on that too. Plus, if you have some housewarming gifts for me when I finally return, notify me on that too. That also means that we can talk more about some plans to think about during my ‘Welcome Back’ party. That also includes other plans for other seasons too.

Phew! That’s all for now, and I hope that you guys enjoy my next blog entry in my Lawrence Kansas monthly blog. We’ll bring you more plans we’ll talk about as it develops, so we’ll you updated on some upcoming ideas real soon as it becomes available. Stay tuned. In the meantime, check back later for another story in the next blog. See you real soon and have a great day. Peace out folks!
