The Renaissance Festival

You’ll never guess what I did for the very first time. I officially went to the Kansas City Renaissance Festival in Bonner Springs. The first time I went there was when I was with friends Eric and Jill Fitzmorris. We all went there and we explored the whole thing. Eric enjoyed the turkey legs and I got to do a video all about it.

I got to take my bird puppet with me, I named him Alonzo one time.

And my puppet and I did a movie about the Renaissance Festival in Bonner Springs and everybody loved it. Even Eric and Jill loved it and was a fun time to enjoy it.

Anyway I saw everything in this festival. There’s exciting shows, challenging games and activities, a petting zoo, and so much more. I even saw the joust! It was incredible, folks. And I gotta tell you right now about this one, the Renaissance festival is just one of my favorite places to go in Kansas City. And it’s really fun!

When I plan on going back there again, I’m thinking about doing a fun video about just like I did the first time I got here. And this time, it’ll be on my vlog on YouTube. Also I can even do a video about it here at the festival with one of my puppets. That might be fun too. And maybe I can even invite my friends to come with me too. For special events, maybe I can bring Lois Orth-Lopes with me to the Renaissance festival and maybe bring the kids from Cordley to it too. Won’t that be fun? I can even bring my puppet with me and maybe I can do a show there.

My second time going there was when I was with my sister Sarah. I have everything with me though. I thought I wasn’t gonna film the festival on video, but I didn’t care. It really captures all the memories about it. So I don’t wanna stop recorded it. And sometimes it makes me wonder what else I missed in this thing.

The third time I went there was when I brought along Buzzy the Bee with me to do some video shooting. I had all the equipment with me to do the recording about. I did interviews about it and Buzzy explored the Renaissance festival the entire time. After that, Buzzy and I got exhausted and had to sit on the bench to relax. It was fun when I was here for the first time. I even got to go on the ride that spins round and round like a merry go round. It got me kinda dizzy but it didn’t make me go faster though. It was still kinda fun at first, then it was really awesome.

It's also fun as this one I saw here.

Now when I plan on going to the Renaissance festival with my friends, I’m bringing my own puppets with me and we need someone like Daniel Lassman or others to do the video recording for me just in case I don’t mess up or forget my lines. Good thing I have a teleprompter on my iPad with me. If I could bring another puppet with me, I’d bring Rocky Fox cause he looks cool in his outfits.

I’ll give you more updates about some ideas on new puppet character designs later.

Okay, so how many times have I ever been to the Kansas City Renaissance Festival before in my life? Three times! That’s three times I’ve been to it in Bonner Springs. And that’s just the beginning! Listen you guys, I’ve been waiting to come back to Lawrence Kansas and willing to check out the Kansas City Renaissance festival as many times as I’d like in the fall season. And I’m telling you, when we come back to the festival, I wanna relive the times I first got there. I remember when we were about to come back to Lawrence Kansas, we got in Eric’s car, and I couldn’t find my iPod anywhere. I had no idea where I left it and I completely lost it somewhere. That was until I saved enough money for a new iPod to freshen things up though. That was kinda stressful for me to do when we left for the day. Lesson learned, always store your iPod or iPad in a safe place like a messenger bag or a backpack in case it doesn’t get lost entirely. And don’t do what you did last time. If I could store my electronics like my video camera or my iPad, I would find myself a storage carrying case which is easy to carry on with me so I don’t get sore. I’ll look into that in a few days or so. In the meantime, I’m gonna start planning on my next trip to the Kansas City Renaissance festival for the next fall season and invite my friends to take with me. I can’t wait until I can finally imagine how much I’ll be having once again. Eric and Jill, if you’re reading this right now, thanks for a great time at the Renaissance festival. It’s been the first time since I had a lot of fun, and maybe I can invite you guys along with the kids too. I’ll bet Brenya and the girls will love that idea. I wonder what they might be doing there next. I hope you enjoy the next blog entry as much as this one.

If you like my next blog entry about it, feel free to help me plan for my next trip to the Kansas City Renaissance festival for the next fall season once I’m back in Lawrence. Also don’t forget to follow my club’s page on Facebook for more info too.

Oh and…

P.S.  If you have any special events you’d like to take somewhere in Kansas City that I can volunteer with just like at the concert event, please let me know also.

That’s all for now, check back later for more ideas and stories on my next Lawrence Kansas Monthly Blog. So long for now and have a great day.

HUZZAH!
