Movie Madness!

Image
This next blog entry is brought to you by a friend of mine from C-Tran. Matthew Cannon, this one's for you. Hey there, hi there, ho there! Welcome to my monthly blog. Today I wanna discuss about something that I’ve been thinking about doing daily in my spare time. I call it “Monday Movie Madness”. It’s a special kind of event idea that I came up with on my own. So when the time comes and I’m back in Lawrence, I can plan a special movie madness event with my friends. And maybe do one with Matthew Cannon too. Why? Cause I think maybe we’d thought about this for a very long long time ever since I’ve been going to the movies and whatnot. So I have some ideas starting with a little list on a chart I came up with. I’ll write this down on paper later on in case I can remember. Here’s what it’s all about. Introducing my ‘movie madness month list’. It features a list of classic movies past and present in any genre and title. Please note that this list contains five movie titles or more in...

Momoko Gift Boutique

Image
Okay, here's something that I'm gonna try once I'm back in Lawrence. Momoko Gift Boutique! You may ask yourself, “What is Momoko Gift Boutique?”. Well if you don’t know, then I’ll tell you all about it. It's a Japanese gift shop located here at KU. It's at 714 Massachusetts St. A Japanese toy store featuring mechanical claw machines as well as gifts like tumblers, bags, hair ornaments, pencils, pins, socks, jewelry and more. Gifts feature Japanese animated characters like Hello Kitty, Pokemon, Mario Brothers, and more. Hey if you like this one, then maybe I can give this gift shop a try. Besides it's got snacks and sodas too. I wonder if there's some new flavors of soda I wanna try. I'll just have to wait and see. For those of you who haven't experienced Momoko on Mass St., let me explain to you on the history of Japanese snacks and soda that I've experienced. I'll give you some detail about it. First off, I went to World Market the other d...

The Renaissance Festival

Image
You’ll never guess what I did for the very first time. I officially went to the Kansas City Renaissance Festival in Bonner Springs. The first time I went there was when I was with friends Eric and Jill Fitzmorris. We all went there and we explored the whole thing. Eric enjoyed the turkey legs and I got to do a video all about it. I got to take my bird puppet with me, I named him Alonzo one time. And my puppet and I did a movie about the Renaissance Festival in Bonner Springs and everybody loved it. Even Eric and Jill loved it and was a fun time to enjoy it. Anyway I saw everything in this festival. There’s exciting shows, challenging games and activities, a petting zoo, and so much more. I even saw the joust! It was incredible, folks. And I gotta tell you right now about this one, the Renaissance festival is just one of my favorite places to go in Kansas City. And it’s really fun! When I plan on going back there again, I’m thinking about doing a fun video about just like I did th...

Worlds & Oceans of Fun

Image
Okay folks, here's something that I'd thought you'll remember. It was the first time that I remember going to when I was a kid, this time here in Kansas City. The first time I went to Worlds of Fun as a world of...well, fun! My family and I went there the first time went we were going somewhere during a mini-vacation. It a family friendly park here in Kansas City that I first went to. Remember that?!  I'll never forget that first time there. I went on those rollercoaster rides, and enjoyed the Sea Dragon, rode the Spinning Dragons, all that stuff! We even checked out Cyclone Sam's ride, it really made me dizzy! The special effects and the lights flashing! Yikes! We even got to see Charlie Brown and the Peanuts Gang in person while we were strolling around the park. I even went on the slide for that one. One of the rollercoasters I tried was the Timber Wolf. And when it went down really fast, I held my breath as I screamed! I went on with my dad though. The funnies...
