Movie Madness!

This next blog entry is brought to you by a friend of mine from C-Tran. Matthew Cannon, this one's for you.

Hey there, hi there, ho there! Welcome to my monthly blog. Today I wanna discuss about something that I’ve been thinking about doing daily in my spare time.

I call it “Monday Movie Madness”.

It’s a special kind of event idea that I came up with on my own. So when the time comes and I’m back in Lawrence, I can plan a special movie madness event with my friends. And maybe do one with Matthew Cannon too. Why? Cause I think maybe we’d thought about this for a very long long time ever since I’ve been going to the movies and whatnot. So I have some ideas starting with a little list on a chart I came up with. I’ll write this down on paper later on in case I can remember.

Here’s what it’s all about.

All these and many more as they get updated every Monday when I'm back in Lawrence.

Anyway during Monday Movie Madness, there will be snacks and soda. And also including popcorn. We can plan on that indoors whenever it's raining outside or for special evenings or maybe outdoors in the backyard, or for special outdoor occasions and parties. If I'm showing family-friendly documentary films, maybe we can do that especially in special Earth Day events.

So here's some Earth Day movie choices I've come up with for the time being. (My own home movies also included):

Movies for Earth Day:

Sing Along Earth Songs: A Journey To a Cleaner Earth, Disneynature Earth, Dr. Seuss's The Lorax, Oceans, Wings of Life, African Cats, Chimpanzee, March of the Penguins, Dolphin Reef, Monkey Kingdom, Bears, Open Season, WALL-E, Hoot, Sacred Planet, FernGully: The Last Rainforest

Now here’s what we’re thinking about this special idea. When I’m back, we’ll get this event set up. And to do that, we gotta find some place here in downtown Lawrence to make this all happen, and not just at home. So if you like these classic movies and seen them in the theaters, then Monday Movie Madness is the one you'd like. I'll contact Matthew Cannon on Facebook and see what's up. Maybe I can bring in some snacks, some soda, and some popcorn. Then after that, we can hang out and grab ourselves some dinner or maybe a bite to eat somewhere. And who knows, maybe I can even come to his house and do 'Movie Madness' with him and his family. Won't that be really fun? It'll be just like MST3K but better.

In the meantime, if you like my special idea for Mondays on my blog, feel free to send me more info about Monday Movie Madness. Even if it's on a beautiful day or a rainy day, sorta speak. Any day you could think of. Well, anyway...

That's it for now. Check back next time for another story on my next Lawrence Kansas blog. Hey, say hi to Matthew Cannon for me. This one's for you, bud.

For Matthew Cannon.
