Puppets Entertaining!

Have you ever entertained kids at school with hand puppets just like on Sesame Street?

Well if you do, then maybe now would be a great time to talk about it right now.

When I first got Buzzy the Bee from Axtell Expressions in the month of February, I was ready to get Lawrence Kansas entertained by them. And ever since I like playing with puppets, I remember the first time I was watching Sesame Street when I was little. I inspire myself with the Muppets and plenty of others.

When I get back to LawrenceKansas once again, I feel like it's time for me to entertain kids in school with a puppet show here at Cordley. And not just Buzzy the Bee. I can also entertain kids in school with Rocky Fox.

In case you know, you remember him in starring in the music video for "Pie" by Steve Mason.

If I wanna entertain kids with Rocky Fox, I'd give him a little taste in American Roots blues. He'd sing songs from Bob Dylan, Muddy Waters, Kelley Hunt, B.B. King and maybe a couple of others. He can also star in his own show like Buzzy does, althought I haven't done some more Buzzy the Bee videos on YouTube ever since I moved to South Carolina. But when I move back to Lawrence Kansas, I wanna entertain kids in school again. Oh, and also give Buzzy the Bee a makeover. His latex mouth is almost worn out.

According to Axtell Expressions' website, it says here that These Axtell characters are no longer in regular production, and have been placed in the Axtell Vault. They can potentially be made available for a premium vault price, if we are able to locate the molds and acquire the needed materials.

It also says you can contact Theresa in Customer Service if you are interested in a vault character and she can update you on availability and price.

So in the meantime if you'd like to check out 'The Vault' at Axtell Expressions, visit the website at:

Now speaking of puppets, I also wanna be interested in custom made professional puppets of my own with the characters that I made. For instance, I've been thinking of funny custom puppets like this one.

This is Sparky. He could be one of the newest custom puppet to be created. He has green hair, a blue body with light yellow arms and legs. orange shorts and white shoes on his feet. He can be used as a puppet character for a YouTube show. Who knows what I might do with those new custom puppet ideas. Maybe he can teach us something exciting here in the city of Lawrence. For example, if Sparky would explore the fine modern world of art, he can check out the Spencer Art Museum here in KU. Or if he can explore sports in Kansas, he can check out the Jayhawks in basketball and football by interviewing the KU students about it. Plus, if he wants to talk about music 🎶 🎼 🎵, he can interview the folks at KJHK about the history of college radio and its music. That would be really cool, would it.

There’s also a puppet show that also for adults. It’s called ‘The Felt Show’. According to their website, it says that The Felt Show is a puppet troupe based in Lawrence, Kansas that produces shorts, commercials, and live shows for grown-ups - people who grew up with puppets and need some laughs in these chaotic times. It’s also known as “Puppets For Grown-Ups”.

Everyone’s gonna want to enjoy this adult puppet show. It’s also got personalized puppet videos on social videos. That’s because The Felt Show also has its own YouTube channel. And I even subscribed to it.

And get this, The Felt Show can also be used for commercials to make people look hip, there’s even a live show where the puppets come alive, and so much more.

If you guys who are reading this blog might be interested in this show for adults, let me know on my Lawrence Kansas Club page on Facebook.

Plus, if you like to be interested in a little help with a custom puppet of my own like Sparky, let me know too.

Now, my next future idea for when I come back again is to entertain kids with more puppet shows soon, cause I can’t wait to check out more shows with the puppets I love watching on public television ever since.

And when you do, tell Kermit the Frog that I said hi.

This one goes out to my dad, and to my friend Stephanie Harsin, and Jennifer and Rachel Unruh. This is for you guys.

P.S.  I wanna visit New York City and see the Jim Henson exhibition some time soon.
