The Roller Skating Rink

 

Okay, before I start this next story. I wanna remind you that we’re on our way to the 50th blog entry. So keep your eyes peeled. Now, on with the show!

There's this place that I went to when I was a kid. It was in Topeka and located at 815 SW Fairlawn Rd. That was when I went there during my school year at Cordley. That place is called Sk8away.

That place was the greatest in the Topeka area. I remember my first time going there, and it was when I first learned how to roller skate. Somehow, I had a lot of trouble doing that. But in the future, I might be able to learn how to roller skate. The one other thing that I haven't tried in years was Heelys. The shoes with the wheels built in. That would be really cool for me to wear on a daily basis.

If I were to learn how to use those, I'd roll anywhere in the neighborhood including downtown Lawrence. I would even learn how to roll with my Heelys here at the roller skating rink in Topeka.

Anyway, the first time I went there was the time I've gone to Cordley. I had a great time there. I even watched them skate around the rink and had something to eat there. The place not only is an indoor skating rink, but it's also an arcade. The rink played a lot of good music there, and everyone was having plenty of fun. The second time there was when I was at Central Junior High in my younger years. I still had trouble doing that, but at least I had a lot of fun there. I just wish I could learn how to roller skate more often. I hope that I can still do that though.

Now here's my next ideal suggestion for when I go to Sk8away. When I plan a visit there with my friends, I wanna do some DJing here inside the rink. I'll play some tracks of my favorite music, play some kid-friendly songs, remix some of my favorite songs, etc. To do that, I need somebody to help me get all this music set up so that they can have fun here at Sk8away. And I'm telling you, this is gonna be a lot more fun just like the two times.

Here at Sk8away's website, you can find these events happening here including Wacky Wednesday, School's Out Skate, Organization Parties, Hours and Pricing, Birthday Party Packages, and so much more. If I can do something nice for Sk8away, I can give them some special custom posters I made, and maybe a couple of upbeat rollerskating mixes. That'll make roller skaters feel upbeat and jam to the music.

My family and friends would be really proud to hear about that.

Now if I could go there to Sk8away in Topeka, I can even help get things set up for birthday parties and we can celebrate a birthday for someone I know. And maybe I can bring Eric and Jill to celebrate one of the kids' birthday there. Another idea for when I come here is maybe plan a special dance party/roller skating event there too. I can even have a lot of fun at Sk8away. Even I can invite everyone including my friends. And yet another idea I can come up with is maybe I can go to Sk8away for a special event for Best Buddies. I can have my best buddy take me to Sk8away and party on and on when we get there. Everyone including the people who participate in Best Buddies will be there as always.
