The Majestics Rhythm Revue

Image
The following blog entry is based on a true story. Allow me to introduce to you, dad’s local band from back in the day. The Majestics Rhythm Revue. Here’s the inside scoop of the band. This is something that I will always remember for the rest of my life. The first time that I saw my dad’s band was when my mom and I went down to Eskimo Joe’s in Stillwater, Oklahoma. That was the first time I went there to see them perform. This is Stillwater’s Jumpin’ Little Juke Joint. A place where people can get something to eat and watch live music. It’s almost like a dinner and a show together in one. I’ll never forget my first time there, although I just wish I can go there with my dad for dinner. We’ll see about that for sure once we get a chance. My mom and I really loved their performance as I got all of this on videotape when I recorded the whole show on my video camera. And I gotta tell you right now, it was incredibly awesome. And I really love that place from back in the day. My next wis

My Time With Speed Mack

Yo, hold up! Time to go back, way back into time! Pronto! No, I’m just kidding. But I can tell you that it’s time to check out. Yet another tribute to a friend of mine who went to C-Tran and is also the Lawrence’s finest rap star. Ladies and gentlemen, I give you, the one the only… Speed Mack! Speech! 🎤. Here’s my story dedicated to him. We both met at the beginning of the second year of C-Tran and he was really nice to meet me for the very first time. Before Speed Mack and I hung out, we came up with our own rap group for school. It was called ‘Straight Up! Crew’. It was something that we came up together once we came up with some underground hip hop music. The first thing we did in music was a demo tape featuring a couple of freestyles, and did a remix of Jenny Rovel Jones’ cover of Dido’s song ‘Life For Rent’. He started free-styling with his own lyrics to the beat. Word up! I remember that time I was coming up with some artwork for the C-Tran hip hop group. As a picked the artwo

My Tribute To Darrell Andrew

Today’s story is yet another one, because this one goes out to my teacher Mr. Andrew. Back in 2005, I met Mr. Andrew for the first time when I started high school here at Free State. The first time I met him was that time I went on a school’s scavenger hunt, and it was really interesting when I got my classes picked. And my favorite part was when I got to hang out with him during classes and learned something new for a living. One time I was watching an educational video about bad manners, and the funniest parts of the video series were the one where the music was blaring as the actor was blown away, and the parrot named Rambo.  He was really funny. Warning: This is only just a demonstration of a green parrot. This is not the real parrot Rambo. We repeat, this is only for demonstration. But this is what Rambo looks like in the video series. In "Mind Your Manners", this is what he looks like. The parrot with white feathers. I also remember watching the Be Cool video series.
